Colleen Mizuno
Pre-Construction Team and Business Development

Colleen Mizuno has 35 years of experience in Hawaii commercial and residential construction, totaling nearly $1 billion in contract value. As a DBIA certified design-build professional, she is a strong advocate for preconstruction services focused on the design-build or design-assist methodology. Some significant projects on which she has used her Design-Build expertise include various Department of Defense Navy military housing and Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (nearly $300 million); the West Hawaii Civic Center ($50 million); and Kaiser Kona Medical Office Building ($25 million). Colleen says that working together with a client and design team from start to finish in a Design-Build or Design-Assist capacity facilitates a seamless transition from design to construction, resulting in a shorter project duration and lower overall costs, all while providing the owner with control over major programming and design decisions. Colleen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Hawaii. She joined Unlimited in 2012.
